Korea Gas Union (KGU), founded in 1985, represents 56 local companies which include state-run corporations, E&P companies, city gas companies, construction and engineering companies, marine and shipbuilding companies, energy organizations, research institutes, and related associations in Korea.
KGU became the charter member of International Gas Union (IGU) in 1986; the year that liquefied natural gas (LNG) was introduced to Korea. Since then, KGU has played a significant role in the gas industry by contributing to the natural gas promotion, gas technology advancement, and gas information exchange.
We provide quality services to all member companies: hold annual gatherings, host energy conferences, distribute and manage information on natural gas, and release several periodicals.
In addition, we have also contributed globally by hosting many global mega events such as GASEX 1998, IGU Council Meeting 1999 & 2008, LNG 2001, Global Conference on Information and Communication Technology in Energy(ICT) 2005, and IGRC 2011, Asia Pacific Gas Conference(APGC) 2015~2017, and will host WGC 2021 in Daegu.
KGU will continue to work towards the objectives and will make this Conference a most successful event you will ever experience in your life.
