Susan Hughes has been leading the Emerson’s Automation Solutions business in Asia Pacific since October 2020 and is based in Singapore.
In her role as President, Susan oversees business platform operations and sales in the region. She has been with Emerson for more than 15 years, serving in positions of increasing responsibility in the United States and Asia.
Prior to this appointment, Susan served three years as Emerson’s Vice President and General Manager of the Micro Motion brand, and two years as Vice President of Marketing for Micro Motion. She was Vice President and General Manager of the TESCOM brand from 2013 to 2015.
From 2008 to 2013, Susan held various management positions at Emerson businesses in China, including as Director of Product Marketing and Engineering for Micro Motion and Rosemount in Nanjing, and as the Plant Manager for Fisher regulators in Shanghai.
Susan joined Emerson in 2005 as a Materials Analyst and later served in a Profit Planning Analyst role.
Susan holds bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Chinese from Grinnell College and an MBA degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
