Ole Njærheim holds the position as EVP – Marketing and Commercial in Petoro. Njærheim has more than 25 years of experience within energy marketing and trading, investment management and financial and strategic advisory, mainly in the oil and gas business.
Njærheim worked for Petoro from 2002 – 2006 and came back to his current role in Petoro in the beginning of 2017. Petoro manages the Norwegian State’s direct financial interests on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and in 2021 the production from the portfolio was 37 BCM of natural gas and 388 kboed liquids production. In Petoro, the Marketing and Commercial department is responsible for monitoring Equinor’s marketing and sale of the Norwegian State’s oil and gas, ownership in oil- and gas infrastructure assets, commercial negotiations, and business development.
Njærheim holds an MSc in Business and Economics from the University of Agder, a MSc in Management from the University of Surrey and Certified European Financial Analyst from the Norwegian School of Economics.
