John Heer, Director of Storage and Peak Shaving at CenterPoint Energy, is responsible for the company’s underground gas storage, LNG system, and propane-air peak shaving.
John has worked on engineering, design, installation, safety, operation, and maintenance of liquified natural gas and propane-air facilities, underground natural gas storage, green hydrogen, cogeneration, biomass, renewable natural gas projects.
John has a degree in Mechanical Engineer from the University of Minnesota with 40 years of experience in the energy industry. He is currently chair of the International Gas Union Storage Committee.
