Alice Vatin has a master’s degree in chemical engineering. She has worked in the field of analytical chemistry and chemometrics, first in the food industry (Unilever) then in the gas industry (ENGIE & GRTgaz).
Now working at RICE (GRTgaz R&D centre for energy), she has specialized in Gas Quality challenges, especially in the context of the introduction of new and renewable gases onto the grid. She participates actively in standardization committees at ISO level (ISO/TC 193 – Natural Gas) and CEN level (CEN/TC 234 – Gas infrastructure, CEN/TC 408 – Biomethane).
Moreover since 2019, Alice VATIN coordinates R&D activities dedicated to the Industry sector decarbonisation (Energy efficiency, CCUS, impact of renewables on gas usages…) and the development of low carbon gas Usages (Methane pyrolysis, gas mobility).
