IGU Coordination Committee Meeting: Preparations for WGC 2021 continue!

The IGU Coordination Committee met last week in Yogyakarta ahead of the main Council Meeting. The meeting provided the opportunity for each Committee and Task Force Chair to provide an update on the extensive work their committee has been involved with since the last meeting in Santiago, Chile earlier this year.

With 900 members from 49 countries the IGU Committees and Task Forces have an impressive global network of industry representatives. Drawing on this knowledge the committees will be responsible for leading the Industry Insight and the interactive Technical and Innovation sessions at WGC 2021. Both of which will form the more technical part of the conference program.

Work is well under way to produce a selection of relevant and focused topics that will form the content of these conference sessions. During these October meetings committee chairs presented their initial shortlist of topics which will then be reviewed and finalized ahead of our Call for Papers launch in May 2020.

Speakers for these sessions will be selected through our Call for Papers process which will open in May 2020. Sign up to our newsletter here to ensure you receive notification of when we are open for submissions.
